Appeal
To United Nations Of Teenagers Against All Types Of Discrimination
All
progressive-minded people are deeply disturbed about the situation with the
discrimination in today’s society. We are writing this letter because we need
YOUR support. The year 2001 would be proclaimed by the UN the International
Year for Mobilization against Racism, Racial Discrimination, Xenophobia and
Related Intolerance. This would be the hot issue of the United Nations
conferences of next year.
We would
like to show politicians that teenagers all over the world care about this
problem. The evidence is all around you. Just look carefully and you will see
someone who is discriminated. It could be anyone even your best friend or even
you.
If you have
an opinion on this issue or you simply agree
with our call for action, please reply this message giving us your name, age
and country. According to the content of your letters we will compose a
document, including teenagers’ attitude to all forms of discrimination, list of
states where discrimination exists, recommendation to these states and any
other point you will propose and we consider to be important. We will send it
with lists of all supporters to the United Nations official address.
We are
going to publish the most interesting letters and ideas. After we will have
written an official appeal or its part you will be able to see it on this page.
All
international organizations are welcome to support us in any possible way.
